We highly recommend getting a tent for any events over forty guests. Your tent can serve as a back-up for your ceremony, or depending on the size of your event, you can have it inside the house or in our corn crib, which has become a favorite back up ceremony spot. There are also plenty of picturesque locations you can get pictures together that won’t require you to stand out in the rain.
What if it rains on the day of my event?
Ballenger Farm was built by Quakers in 1758. Slavery has never been part of the farm's history. Later on, the farm was purchased by the wealthy Ballenger family, and the farmhouse was a home for the farmhand and his family. We're thankful for this beautiful location that now homes our goats, chickens, ducks, and a cat named Peter Pan.
